Microsoft's new Windows update on some computers 'freezing' began to cause problems.
Microsoft was the target of users with the latest update released in early April. After the update, the problem of freezing in Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers gradually spread. The source of this problem is the conflict with Sophos, Avast and Avira's security software.
The problem in Avira seems to have affected the company's very popular and free Avira Free Antivirus software, along with Avira Antivirus Pro and Avira Prime. If you use any of these programs, Avira recommends that you uninstall the KB4493509 cumulative update. In Windows 7, you need to uninstall KB4493472 and KB4493448.
Avira, who is in contact with Microsoft, is working to solve the problem. The company says it will distribute the repair automatically with the next product update.
Users who only experience slowdowns in Avira may experience a much worse situation, freezing on the Avast login screen. This issue is particularly affecting Windows 7 users.
